STATE ROAD 38 PORTIONS TO CLOSE IN NEW CASTLE
New Castle residents, or anyone who frequents the area, you might way to pay attention to this traffic alert.
A construction project on State Road 38, or also in some areas known as Broad Street, is pushing forward into phase two.
Broad Street between 15th and 18th Streets will be closed starting Tuesday to begin rebuilding the roadway.
Access across Broad Street at 18th Street will remain available until access between 15th and 18th Streets is open.
Additionally, Broad Street will be closed between 12th Street and 15th Street for full-depth repairs to concrete pavement.
While all of this is happening, State Road 38 will be closed to thru traffic in New Castle between State Road 3 and 31st Street.
During this time, traffic will be directed south to I-70.
This is all part of a $5.3 million project to improve State Road 38 in New Castle.
State Road 38 is expected to be fully open to traffic before the end of this year, with the entire project expected to wrap up next summer.
STATE ROAD 332 ENTRANCE RAMP TO SOUTH BOUND I-69 TO CLOSES
If you're up on the northeast side of the region, or find yourself driving through the area, you may want to pay attention to this traffic alert that could impact your travels for about a month.
Beginning Tuesday night at 9-o-clock, construction crews are closing the State Road 332 entrance ramp to south bound I-69 for bridge construction, south of the Exit 241 interchange.
Additionally, the right lane of SB I-69 will be shifted to the left, while the bridge work begins on the right lane of the shoulder.
During this time, traffic will be directed northbound on I-69 to U.S. 35/State Road 28 to return southbound on I-69.
This is all part of a $1.7 million project to extend the life of the I-69 bridges over Pleasant Run Creek.
Again, this project starts Tuesday night at 9-o-clock and is expected to continue for about 30 days.
The hope is to wrap up the entire bridge project by November of this year.
