Great news for people who find their commutes taking them northbound on I-65 from the south side of the city: that 150-day ramp closure from northbound I-65 to WB I-465 for bridge repairs is expected to open on schedule, this weekend!
Pending the weather, come Monday, you will be able to use this ramp when heading to work.
But before that opening happens, there are some overnight closures you’ll need to have on your radar.
You should plan for overnight closures of up to two lanes and temporary traffic stoppages on eastbound and westbound I-465 under I-65 from 9-o-clock at night until 6-o-clock in the morning, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday into Sunday morning.
At the same time, the southbound I-65 ramp to eastbound I-465 will be closed as cranes are hoisting bridge beams into place.
So just be sure to plan ahead, leave earlier than you typically would, and use caution in work zones.
