INDIANAPOLIS -- As you’re making your way around Indianapolis this weekend, you’ll want to plan ahead because there will be a couple of restrictions at the North Split.
Starting at 9 p.m. Friday and continuing until 8 p.m. on Saturday, the westbound I-70 ramp to southbound I-65 will have one lane closed.
At the same time, there will also be one lane closed on the northbound I-65 ramp to northbound I-65.
Though the ramps will still be partially open, given the influx of cars and downtown events this weekend, things could get a little backed up so you’ll want to leave a little earlier than you typically would and exercise extra caution.
A major ramp closure on the east side of Indianapolis might impact your travels into the city as well this weekend.
Starting Friday at 9 p.m. until Saturday at 8 p.m., the westbound I-70 ramp to southbound I-465 will be closed for concrete bridge repairs.
During this time, traffic will be detoured to the Shadeland Ave. exit to return eastbound and access southbound I-465.
At the same time, one lane of eastbound I-70 will be closed under the westbound I-70 ramp to southbound I-465.
Again, this all begins Friday at 9 p.m. and will continue until Saturday at 8 p.m., so plan ahead if you are going to come to the city from the east side this weekend.
