INDIANAPOLIS -- President Donald Trump took to Twitter Friday evening to share a photo of him posing with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers who were part of his motorcade when he was in the city for his tax reform speech.
Trump was at the Indiana State Fairgrounds on Wednesday for an invitation-only event to announce the GOP tax reform plan where he highlighted local farmers, business owners and Hoosiers in general to try to gain support for the plan.
After leaving the event at the fairgrounds, an IMPD officer that was part of the presidential motorcade to the airport laid down his motorcycle. The officer suffered non-life threatening injuries.
President Trump delayed his flight to call that officer in the hospital to make sure he was okayand IMPD thanks the president on social media for the call.

Friday evening, President Trump responded to message thanking IMPD and "all law enforcement officers" along with a photo of him posing with the group.
