INDIANAPOLIS — A kitchen fire broke out in a two-story apartment on the city's north side on Wednesday evening.
Just before 8 p.m., the Indianapolis Fire Department went to work on the fire. It took IFD crews about 25 minutes to get the competitive fire under control.
Due to the fire, two families were displaced from their homes at 7006 Effingham Square.
According to IFD, the apartments had working smoke alarms and is still under investigation.
