INDIANAPOLIS -- Students in the Metropolitan School District of Wayne Township have banded together to provide hundreds of meals for needy families.
The meals are available for pick up Monday, November 20 at Ben Davis High School from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Senior class officers sponsored the project, and last year the effort provided more than 300 meals to families in need.
Every school in Wayne Township collects food and financial donations, which are then sent to Ben Davis High School.
A staff member then coordinates students to organize the food into meals for hundreds of families.
