SPEEDWAY, Ind.— Dozens of volunteers spent the weekend sprucing up the Speedway community.

The Speedway High School Key Club and National Honor Society, Boy Scout Troop 303, and a team from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway picked up two very full truckloads of trash from the B&O Trail and 465/Crawfordsville Rd area.

The volunteers also spruced up three homes with yard clean up, power washing, painting and the construction of handrails.

Big Woods Speedway provided t-shirts and Lakeview Manor provided water and snacks.

Speedway is gearing up to host the Grand Prix on May 12.
