BEDFORD, Ind. -- Police in Bedford are investigating after a woman claims she was attacked by a man with a gun while walking on Bedford trail Saturday afternoon.
The incident happened just after 3 p.m. on the Milwaukee Trail just outside the city limits.
Bedford police say the victim told them an unknown man displayed a firearm and attempted to tie her up. She was able to fight off her attacker and ran back toward SR 37 for help.
A couple in the area let the woman use their cell phone to call the police.
The suspect is described as a man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a camouflage ski mask.
