INDIANAPOLIS -- Police are now calling the death of a woman found suffering from trauma at a home on Indianapolis' west side Tuesday evening a homicide.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the home in the 2900 block of Ida Street just before 9:30 p.m.
When they arrived, police found a woman who appeared to have trauma to her body. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not been released.
The Marion County Coroner's Office is working to determine the woman's exact cause of death.
The death remains under investigation by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
