INDIANAPOLIS -- A woman is accused of stabbing her ex-boyfriend multiple times in the face and arm when he came to pick up his belongings early Sunday morning.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were called to the 10200 block of John Jay drive just after 4 a.m. for a person who had been stabbed.
The victim told officers that his ex-girlfriend, Tarya Thompson, 43, had stabbed him when he tried to pick up his belongings from her home after a confrontation in the parking lot. The man had multiple stab wounds to his face and arm. He was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in good condition.
When police went to question Thompson, they say she came out of the home in an aggressive manner with a 10-inch kitchen knife. The officer ordered her to drop the knife at gunpoint and after a few tense moments Thompson conceded and was placed into custody.
Thompson is charged with domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon, battery by means of a deadly weapon, battery resulting in moderate bodily injury and intimidation.
