INDIANAPOLIS – The Indy Backpack Attack, an organization that gathers donated school supplies for students, kicked off their annual collection event Monday.
Since 1999, organizers have worked with business and organizations to collect supplies for students in need over a six-week period.
"I knew I could only get a few things off the list, not everything, but I was grateful to find out that Indy Backpack Attack not only does a backpack giveaway,” said Krystal Robinson. “They also send a lot of supplies to the schools."
Once supplies are collected, they are taken to the IUPUI Surplus Warehouse where they are sorted before being delivered to local IPS and Mayor’s Chartered Schools.
