INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis coffee shop is once again opening up its doors on Christmas Day to welcome anyone who doesn't want to be alone.
Neidhammer Coffee Co. at 2104 East Washington Street opened on Christmas Day for the first time in 2018 after they were inspired by a sign they saw from another shop.
"In 2018 we welcomed over 150 people through our door. We met seniors, college students, empty nesters, homeless folks and single parents that didn't have their children," Neidhammer said in their press release. "Loneliness can affect everyone, and we feel that no one should be alone on Christmas Day!"
The free event is open to anyone in the community.
Neidhammer Coffee Co. will be open from noon to 3 p.m. with "fresh donuts, hot coffee, and love from our volunteers" all free to everyone who shows up.
