INDIANAPOLIS – A post on Facebook by Indianapolis’ Deputy Mayor David Hampton, caused a lot of controversy on social media Friday night.
Hampton weighed in on the police shooting in Tulsa, Okla. and some of his points caught the attention of Indianapolis police. The pastor of Light of the World Christian Church voluntarily took down his message, which can be read in the photo a below.
Soon after the post was removed, Hampton sent a statement:
“Obviously my Facebook page is a reflection of my personal opinions. I’m proud and honored to be part of an administration that is working with IMPD and our partners to build bridges between local law enforcement and the community.”
