INDIANAPOLIS — There's a new way to track crimes in Indianapolis and, in the process, help police solve them.
It's called Crime Reports Dot Com and it was unveiled Wednesday by Mayor Joe Hogsett and IMPD.
The cooperative community public safety tool allows you to see where and what crimes have occurred in your neighborhood.
But more than that, you can help police solve them.
The website allows you to register your home security camera and police can contact you if a crime takes place that your camera possibly captured.
Releasing the video is voluntary.
You can also anonymously submit a tip directly to Crime Stoppers through the website.
