INDIANAPOLIS — As construction crews work in full force on the Red Line, which is set to begin service this summer, IndyGo is preparing for the Blue Line.
The 24-mile route will run east-to-west along Washington Street from Cumberland west to Indianapolis International Airport.
IndyGo hosted a meting Tuesday night to discuss the project, giving updates and answering questions.
"There are inherently some changes that happen to hte roadway and changes to traffic patterns," IndyGo vice president of public affairs Brian Luellen said. "But overall, the support for the project is pretty great, and it'll be a major enhancement to the rider's experience and opportunity to better connect to the airport and jobs that are especially out west in Plainfield."
The Blue Line will replace local service on route eight. Right now, it is still in the planning and design stages.
