INDIANAPOLIS—Investigators are releasing additional details as they work to find out why an SUV slammed through a concrete wall and fell to the ground at a downtown Indianapolis parking garage, killing the two people inside the vehicle.

According to city police, the victim's 2013 Lincoln MKX was traveling southbound on the third floor of the garage next to the City Market. For an unknown reason, the Lincoln struck the left rear corner of a parked and unoccupied vehicle and then traveled about 20 feet, striking the parking garage wall and falling to the ground.

73-year-old Charles Hunt and 70-year-old Iristeen Hunt of University Park, Illinois died in the Wednesday morning accident.

The Marion County Coroner lists the cause of death for both as multiple blunt force injuries.

The SUV landed upside down in an alley with a large slab of concrete from the parking garage on the ground.

The police investigation continues in what's being called a tragic accident.
