INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis Public Schools approved a lease Tuesday for 100 new propane fuel buses.
The buses will be equipped with seat belts and digital cameras to improve safety and efficiency, according to the district.
IPS announced the lease via its Twitter account Tuesday afternoon.
The district said the new buses will reduce fuel and maintenance costs and support preschool students.
IPS transports 22,800 students daily through the Indianapolis area.
