INDIANAPOLIS -- An IPS school was on lockdown while police searched for one or more suspects who crashed into a house on Indianapolis' northwest side.

The Carl Wilde Elementary School went on lockdown before 11 a.m. Monday. The lockdown was lifted about an hour later, after police caught the suspect.

An officer saw the suspect in an SUV near 34th Street and Georgetown Road and saw that it was stolen.

The officer followed the SUV and tried to stop him, but the suspect took off. The suspect returned to the area, crashing into a house near 34th Street and Welch Drive.

The homeowner was home at the time, but not hurt.

The 16-year-old suspect and a 19-year-old woman was found hiding in a car.
