INDIANAPOLIS -- The vicious assault of an IPS teacher remained the focus of a police investigation Wednesday.
The incident happened Friday inside Arlington High School at 4825 North Arlington Avenue.
A 15-year-old female student delivered what has been described as “forceful blows” to the face and head of a 31-year-old male teacher.
Sources tell Call 6 Investigates that the root of the attack may have been an act or revenge or retaliation because of a disagreement between the IPS teacher and the attacker's brother a couple of weeks ago.
Students who witnessed the fight posted the recording on several web sites.
Sources told Call 6 Investigates that the school principal found the 15-year-old student in violation of the IPS student code of conduct. The teenage girl was suspended pending a future hearing.
The teacher is seeking battery charges against the student, which have not been filed yet. Police will be reviewing the video posted online and video from the school’s surveillance camera system.
