INDIANAPOLIS – An Indianapolis teacher and her students shared a special moment during a wedding this summer.
Marielle Slagel Keller, a kindergarten and first grade teacher at IPS Butler Lab School, invited her class to be flower girls and ring bearers during her wedding.
The 20 children walked down the aisle wearing all white while carrying garlands.
“They mean the world to me,” said Keller. “The kids and their families were part of the whole wedding planning process with me and gave me so much support along the way. They are a huge part of who I am and it would not have felt right to not have them there.”
