WINCHESTER, Ind. – An Indiana University football player was arrested for child molestation Wednesday.
Kiante Enis, 19, was charged with two counts of child molestation, a level three felony, after the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department received a report of a possible relationship between Enis and a 13-year-old.
Both Enis and the 13-year-old admitted to consensual sexual behavior that occurred at least twice in Randolph County.
Enis was booked into the Randolph County Jail and held under a $20,000 bond.
The IU student could face three to 16 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
IU released the following statement:
"Indiana Football has dismissed freshman Kiante Enis from the program effective immediately."
The detective on the case plans to meet with the prosecutor and write a probable cause. They expect to have it filed by tomorrow.
