INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana University Health announced not only new time-saving features on Tuesday but also the addition of three new urgent care centers in Indiana.
Online wait times, reservations, and text messages are the newest features that IU Health rolled out for central Indiana residents in July. In response to patient feedback, the hospital initiated the latest efforts to cut back the length of time patients were sitting in the waiting rooms.
Patients can look at a specific location's wait time, make reservations, and enroll to receive text messages from IU Health by registering with their new software system.
The new IU Health clinics are set to be in Avon, Downtown Indianapolis and Fort Wayne.
The Downtown Indianapolis urgent care will be situated in the building that formally housed Mo'Joe Coffeehouse. This location (222 West Michigan Street) was picked to better serve working professionals, according to IU Health's Public Relations team.
Avon's new urgent care will be located at 10853 East HWY 36, and Fort Wayne's new location will be at 9821 Lima Road, Suite 103.
All three of IU Health's new urgent cares are sought to be opened by the end of the year.
