INDIANAPOLIS -- An IUPUI student won a $100,000 tuition contest from Dr. Pepper during halftime of the ACC title game Saturday.
Wesley Boone, a sophomore at IUPUI and a North Montgomery High School grad from Crawfordsville, won by tossing footballs into a barrel during the halftime show.
Boone runs Gear Going Global, a non-profit that gives athletic gear to under-privileged kids.
Boone was the recipient of the Jefferson Award in May.
