INDIANAPOLIS -- IU's Board of Trustees approved on Friday a $53 million addition to Memorial Stadium.
The project will completely enclose the south end of the field.
The new construction will be called "The Excellence Academy" and be used for student-athlete development at IU.
The Academy will also house a rehab treatment center and sports science research facilities.
Other proposed improvements include new video boards and renovated locker rooms.
