INDIANAPOLIS -- She said she is ready to stop fighting the cancer that has invaded her body.
Rory Feek wrote in his blog earlier this week that Joey's time with her family may be close to its end.
Still, they are cherishing the precious moments that she has left on this earth.
Rory and Joey's oldest daughter was by her mother's side Thursday night.
A touching picture of the two holding hands accompanied a new Facebook post.

In his blog, This Life I Live, Rory said that his wife's hospice nurse delivered some bad news Monday.
"My wife has been asleep for days now and her body is shutting down quickly," Feek wrote. "The hospice nurse came again this morning and said Joey will most likely only be with us for a few more days … at the most."

In the post, titled "One Last Kiss," Feek says his wife said she's leaving behind no regrets.
"One of the last things Joey said before she drifted into the deep sleep she's been in for a few days now is, 'I have no regrets … I can honestly say, that I have done everything I wanted to do and lived the life I always wanted to live," Feek wrote.
The country singer and Indiana native has garnered national attention over the past several months as her battle against cancer has been documented online in her husband's blog.
The Feeks returned to Joey's hometown of Alexandria last year so she could spend her remaining time close to her family.
