TRAFALGAR, Ind. -- As the cooler temperatures fill the air here in central Indiana, many families are flocking to their favorite orchards for their first taste of fall - including Apple Works in Trafalgar, Indiana.
In fact, the orchard posted on its Facebook page that they ran out of dumplings over the busy holiday weekend, but they hope to be fully restocked later this week.
They also ran out of cider after a busy day of sales, but they are assuring fans of the fall drink that they hope to have more stocked up on their shelves soon.
Apple Works also announced the opening day of their beloved pumpkin patch over the weekend. The pumpkins are a little ahead of schedule this year, so they plan to open the patch ahead of schedule - allowing kids and adults alike to find the pumpkin of their choice before Halloween.
The patch for U-pick and wagon rides will open to the public on Sept. 23 this year. Mark your calendars and head on down to pick your own perfect pumpkin!
There's no reason to wait until October when you can have your pick of the prime pumpkin crop!
