FRANKLIN, Ind. --- The City of Franklin held a ribbon cutting Friday to celebrate the completion of construction on the South Main Street bridge.
The bridge, which sits just south of the Johnson County Courthouse, stretches over Young's Creek in downtown Franklin.
City leaders wanted the bridge replaced after noticing it was deteriorating. Federal funds were used to pay for the construction.
The South Main Street bridge closed last February and work was set to be complete in August.
