GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Freedom Springs Waterpark is going to the dogs – literally.
The pool closed after Labor Day weekend. However, on Saturday September 9, you can treat your pup to an end-of-the-summer swim at Puppy POOLooza. This party is for canines only.
There are a couple of rules. According to the Freedom Springs Waterpark Facebook page, puppies have to be at least six months old and be up-to-date with shots. Dog handlers and owners are not allowed to take a dip with their pets. Additionally, if you have more than one dog, you need to bring more than one human. One human is required per pet.
If your dog is petite, weighing less than 30 pounds, bring them for a swim from 1- 2:30 p.m.
If your dog is bigger, weighing more than 30 pounds, bring them for a swim from 2:30 - 4 p.m.
Puppy POOLooza is free to the public. However, donations will be collected for the Humane Society of Johnson County. You can donate money or pet supplies.
So, grab your pooch and make sure you have some ‘doggles’ on hand. It’s time for Puppy POOLooza!
