INDIANAPOLIS -- Over the last few years, the Franklin Township community has come together to rally for a child with cancer.
On Wednesday, they came together to create a memorial to ensure she's remembered.
We first told you about Ariana Tejada's story last January, when her classmates raised thousands of dollars in her honor.

Tejada died of liver cancer earlier this month.
Since then, Franklin Township Schools have been collecting bottle caps to be turned into a memorial bench.
Students need 400 pounds of plastic to make the bench.
Tejada, a sixth grader, was attending class from her hospital bed up until a few days before she died.
"It is that perseverance and strength everyone wants to carry on," Franklin Township Middle School East Principal Chase Huotari said. "This young lady made a big impact in 12 years, and in my view our job is to carry on that message so it is never forgotten."
The bench will been green – Tejada's favorite color. Green is also the color for liver cancer awareness.
