A 70-year-old school bus mechanic is facing charges for allegedly attacking a Kokomo school bus driver.
Police say it happened at the school system's transportation garage.
The driver, 58-year-old Brian Taber, says he was warming up his bus just after 6 a.m. He revved the engine to mechanic Bob Bolinger's disliking. Taber says the 70-year-old mechanic then forced his way onto the bus and pushed his forearm against the driver's neck – nearly causing him to blackout.
Bolinger is also accused of using homophobic speech while yelling at the driver. He left the bus shortly after that and is now facing one count of battery.
