Kokomo police looking for two men wanted in three jewelry store burglaries

KOKOMO — Kokomo police are looking for two men who are accused of breaking into three Indiana jewelry stores.

According to a release from the Kokomo Police Department, officers responded at 8:44 a.m. March 26 to Retherford Fine Jewelry in response to a broken front glass door. Two men wearing masks with dark clothing and carrying trash bags and a hammer were seen on surveillance video taking a metal register drawer that contained change.

The department also learned of another jewelry store burglary at Bowers Jewelry in Huntington that took place at 5:35 a.m. March 26. Surveillance video shows two men wearing the same clothing carrying trash cans and a hammer. They entered Bowers Jewelry through a broken window and took jewelry and silver.

Investigators heard of a third jewelry store burglary that occurred April 9 at Lowden Jewelers in Marion. The suspects, who carried bags and a hammer, entered the business and took jewelry.
