FISHERS, Ind. -- Kroger is planning to build a $20 million Marketplace in Fishers.

The superstore will be built in the Fishers Station Shopping Center at the intersection of 116th Street and Allisonville Road where Marsh closed in 2015.

The new Kroger Marketplace will replace the existing smaller Kroger across the street from that location.

The new store will be double the size of the current one and will feature a large grocery section, a clothing section and a restaurant called “The Bistro.”

The marketplace will be just up the road from the IKEA store opening this fall.

Kroger said they hope to begin construction by the end of the year.

The new store could open sometime in 2018.
