LAFAYETTE -- The Lafayette Police Department says a coyote is on the loose after it was showing its teeth and acting in an aggressive manner.
The Lafayette Police Department responded to a complaint of an aggressive coyote in the area of Friendly Village Trailer Park along Sagamore Parkway South in Lafayette Thursday night, according to a press release.
The animal was described as mangy and in poor health.

There was another report that it was foaming at the mouth, showing its teeth and acting in an aggressive manner, according to the release.
Police saw the animal run into a rural area. The animal was not found again by police and is loose in the area, and possibly dangerous.
If you see any aggressive animal, you should not approach the animal and should immediately call police.
