INDIANAPOLIS -- The way you buy certain kinds of cold medicine could soon change thanks to lawmakers' efforts to curb the use of Sudafed in the production of meth.
The challenge for lawmakers is determining how to keep Sudafed out of the hands of criminals, while keeping it accessible for people who legitimately need it.
A proposal currently on the table would give pharmacists discretion in determining whether to make a sale.
