LAWRENCE, Ind. -- Police officers and firefighters in Lawrence came together to continue an age-old rivalry for a good cause.
Lawrence fire and police departments faced off Friday in a wing-eating contest to raise money for beloved Amy Beverland Elementary Principal Susan Jordan. The event marked six months after a bus hit and killed Jordan after it accidentally jumped the curb of the parking lot of that school, but not before she shoved kids out of the way and into safety.
