LAWRENCE, Ind. – Two men were arrested Saturday night after robbing a Metro PCS in Lawrence.
Police arrived at the cell phone store at 8015 Pendleton Pike where two employees said two males put a gun to their heads and stole money from the safe and cash registers.
The two suspects were described as wearing dark-colored sweatshirts.
When an officer saw a man in similar clothing get into a Chevy trailblazer at Churchill Ranch Apartments, the officer conducted a traffic stop.
Officers located a large amount of money and a loaded gun in the vehicle.
Four people were taken into custody including two people under the age of 18.
Two of the people were later identified as Tyrel Bartlett,18, and Charles Williams,19.
Several witnesses were interviewed and shared similar stories of the situation.
Williams and Bartlett were charged with armed robbery and transported to the Arrestee Processing Center.
