LEBANON, Ind. – A Papa John’s in Lebanon held a fundraiser Wednesday for the family of an elderly man who was stabbed to death in June.
The fundraiser was held in the honor of 73-year-old Max Foster who was stabbed to death when a man allegedly broke into his home on Dicks Street. Foster’s wife was also injured during the incident.
Foster's wife told police the couple woke up to find a man inside their home. Around 5 p.m. that evening, police arrested a man they called a "person of interest" in the case.
The fundraiser donated 30 percent of the proceeds to Foster’s family.
