INDIANAPOLIS -- LeRoy Sykes remembers the attack on Pearl Harbor because he was there on December 7, 1941.

Sykes, 95, watched the Japanese attack unfold from the U.S.S. Whitney.

Sykes was honored Wednesday on the 75th anniversary of Pearl Harbor with a certificate of Congressional Recognition from Rep. Andre Carson and a pin from the state.

He spoke with RTV6's Eric Cox about "A date which will live in infamy."
