MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- There will soon be new fitness equipment for people to enjoy at Jackson Park in Anderson.
The equipment will be located on the west side of the park, which is at 22nd St. and Raible Ave., near the walking trail.
There will be five separate pieces of equipment that are appropriate for all ages.
Anderson Mayor Tom Broderick says one piece will be accessible for people in wheelchairs and those who use other mobility devices.
"We are excited about this project as it will continue our efforts at improving the quality of life and health for our citizens," said Mayor Broderick.
Cost of the equipment is estimated at $30,000.
Installation is planned for early fall 2017.
