CHESTERFIELD, Ind. – Two suspects face charges in connection to the murder of a woman in Chesterfield this week.
Chesterfield Police said 24-year-old Joshua Steele of Anderson went inside a home in the area of Pass and Mulberry streets where a double shooting occurred Monday night.
Jalynn Harman,20, of Muncie was pronounced dead at St. Vincent Hospital after the shooting. A male shooting victim was listed in critical condition.
Steele faces charges of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, carrying a handgun without a license, dealing in a schedule 2 controlled substance and possession of marijuana.
Agapito Diaz II, 32, who lived at the home, faces charges of violent felon in possession of a handgun.
Police said charges on the two suspects, and possibly a third suspect, are pending.
