Editor's note: The scheduled time for maintenance work on the RTV6 transmitter has changed to early Friday from early Saturday. This story has been edited.
Maintenance work on the RTV6 transmitter early Friday will impact the over-the-air signal as well as other cable providers who receive the station's signal via an antenna.
Viewers who receive the RTV6 signal from Comcast will not be impacted because Comcast receives RTV6's signal via a fiber optic line.
The maintenance will begin following the conclusion of Thursday night's broadcast of "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The planned maintenance typically takes two to four hours.
RTV6 will provide updates on the status of the work as needed.
