INDIANAPOLIS — If your internet provider is Comcast, you might be reading this from your cell phone right now.
The company is reporting a major outage across many parts of the midwest, including a large portion of Indiana.
According to downdetector.com, some of the major cities in Indiana impacted by the outage include Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Noblesville and Greenwood. Other cities across the country experiencing outages are Chicago, Detroit, Akron, Nashville and Louisville.
A text alert sent to Comcast and Xfinity customers just after 3 p.m. Wednesday confirmed an outage.
One customer in Indianapolis got the following text alert: "Xfinity confirmed an outage in your area that we're working to resolve by 6:54 PM. We'll text you when it's fixed."
