NASHVILLE, Ind. -- A man was arrested Monday night after he allegedly pointed a gun at Indiana Conservation Officers at Brown County State Park.
Larry Stearley's daughter called police after she said she received disturbing texts from her father.
Conservation officers say Stearley came to the door at one of the family cabins in the park and pointed a gun at them.
One shot was fired by officers as they took cover in the woods.
Stearley was taken into custody when he left the cabin and it was clear he didn't have a gun any longer.
Stearley, 77, of Gulf Shores, Ala. was transported to Columbus Regional Hospital for evaluation.
The Brown County Prosecutor's Office will determine possible charges against Stearley.
