INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department detectives have arrested a man in connection with an aggravated robbery at Obadiah’s Smoke Shop last weekend.
JaQuan Davis, 18, was being held in the Marion County Jail on an unrelated charge when detectives arrested him.
Last week, IMPD detectives released surveillance video from the incident on September 5th.

At the time, IMPD said the suspect entered the business and attempted to purchase an item, and when the clerk turned her back to him, he hit her several times in the face. He reached into cash drawer as the clerk attempted to get away and took an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect then chased the clerk as she tried to run out of the store and fired a shot at her, striking her in the leg.
According to a press release, the woman is recovering from her injuries.
