MUNCIE, Ind. -- A man is dead after police say he was stabbed in the neck in his south side home Tuesday morning.

Muncie police have arrested Jeremy Wayne Bisel, 37. He's charged with murder. Police say he broke into a home on South Vine Street and stabbed William Stover-Laudermilt in the neck. Stover-Laudermilt was pronounced dead at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

The victim's mother told police she was in the home at the time of the attack and Bisel had come into her bedroom. That's where she told police that her son had struggled with Bisel before he was fatally stabbed.

Police have not released any details about a possible cause for the attack.

The murder remains under investigation by Muncie Police.
