PUTNAM COUNTY, Ind. -- A man died after he was shot inside a vehicle on I-70 Sunday evening in Putnam County, Indiana.

Police say Mario L. Edwards, 33, of Columbus, Ohio, was dropped off at the Putnam County Hospital around 10 p.m. Sunday, with gunshot wounds to his torso. He was in critical condition, and died at the hospital soon after.

Police were searching for the van that dropped Edwards off Sunday night into early Monday morning.

Around 2 a.m. Monday, they found the van traveling west on State Road 240, stopped it, and arrested the two people inside.

Police arrested Markus Yeanay, 18, of Columbus, Ohio and Stefon Woods, 21, of Columbus, Ohio.

Yeanay has been preliminarily charged with murder. Woods has been preliminarily charged with possession of cocaine.

When the initial reports of the shooting were first reported to police, it was thought that the shooting happened at the hospital. This was later proved to be not true.
