INDIANAPOLIS -- Indianapolis reached 100 homicides with the death of a man who was found lying in a near-east side alley Thursday night.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say a woman returned home just before 10 p.m. to find Mohamed DuKuly, 30, lying on the ground behind her house in the 1400 block of East New York Street. She didn't recognize him.
Police arrived to find DuKuly suffering from apparent head trauma. He was taken to the hospital in "very critical" condition.
An IMPD spokesman said he died Friday night and his death is being treated as a criminal homicide.
