INDIANAPOLIS -- One man was hospitalized after a shooting near Indianapolis' northeast side.
Police were called to the scene near the 2600 block of Bancroft Street after somebody in a nearby home found the man shot in the chest in a van. Police learned the man was shot while in the van, then drove to the house, where somebody he knows lives here.
Before being taken into surgery, the man told police the shooting happened near the intersection of 34th Street and Sherman Drive.
When investigators went to the area, they couldn't find clues about a shooting happening nearby.
The man was taken to Eskenaski Health.
