BEECH GROVE, Ind. -- A Beech Grove man who pleaded guilty to raping an elderly woman last year was sentenced Monday to 47 years in prison.
Ira Link, 42, told police he knocked on the woman's door and then forced his way inside. He then proceeded to beat and rape her.

Link was turned in by his mother, who he reportedly confessed to, saying he had "done something really bad."
Link has a previous conviction for child molestation and is a registered sexually violent predator.
