INDIANAPOLIS -- A pedestrian was struck by a car early Sunday morning on Indianapolis' west side.

The crash happened around 4 a.m. near the intersection of 38th Street and Kiel Avenue.

Police say the driver was traveling westbound near 38th Street when a man ran across the street and was struck.

The driver stayed on the scene and no charges are expected to be filed. The man remains in critical, but stable condition at Methodist Hospital.

No other details about the collision have been released.
